"Jonnet ei tiedä", vol.3:
"PT Junk" eli vapaasti suomennettuna "jäte" tai "vehje" (viitaten alapäähän).
Pakka kehitettiin todennköisesti Pro Tour Extended-kaudella 1999-2000. Pakkaa pelattiin ainakin Chicagon Extended GP:llä Michael J. Floresin ja Adrian Sullivanin toimesta. Pakan kehittäjien mielestä pakka oli ihan hirveää jätettä. Sillä oli huono Survival of the Fittest / Recurring Nightmare match-up. Sillä oli huono land destruction match-up. Sillä oli oikeastaan huono match-up ihan kaikkia Tier 1 pakkoja vastaan.

Junk is a unique archetype that attacks the metagame in a very distinct way. It often preys on control and combo decks due to its efficient discard spells (Duress) and difficult to handle creatures (Mystic Enforcer). It also attacks aggressive decks with cheap removal spells (Swords to Plowshares) and potential board sweepers (Pernicious Deed)."

http://www.starcitygames.com/article/28226_Introducing-PT-Junk.htmlMyöhemmin, kun jonnet tajusivat että Survival of the Fittest on hyvä kortti ja ehkä sitä voisi jopa pelata Demonic Consultationin yli myös edellämainitussa jätepinossa junk alkoi entistä voimakkaammin tutoroida "jätteisiä" 1offeja.
"Abzan" väriyhdistelmää nimitetään tästä syystä edelleen tänä päivänäkin yleisnimellä "jäte".
Väreille osuvia tuutoreita ovat mm. Survival of the Fittest, Demonic Consultation, Knight of the Reliquary, Sensei's Divining Top, Sylvan Library, Eladamri's Call, Enlightened Tutor ja Worldly Tutor.
"Because its typically a bad experimental deck with just random **** thrown together. No real synergy, no real strategy. Just expensive cards."
"The oldest junk decks I recall had tutors to grab whatever you needed. Thus, they could string together a lot of single cards that otherwise wouldn't appear mainboard. Thus the name 'junk'. The core focused around getting threats out with enough disruption (duress/therapy + swords) to throw off most other decks."

Nykypäivänä vastaavia jätedekkejä löytyy lähinnä keittiönpöytä-määtsikistä. Netdeckaamisen myötä harvemmin enää sieltäkään.
